If you can trust me to be your teacher,
I can share my 20 years experience

Many artists, both new and experienced, struggle with drawing the figure. No matter what they do the proportions never seem to come out right, the final result never looks enough like the model, something is always “off.” Frustration sets in and you just think “I don’t have the talent for this.” Instead of continuing to try to push through the confusion, you decide to give up. I know all this because I've been there.

•I've been where you are

When I was learning how to draw and paint, it was the figure that I always found most challenging. Trying to draw the human form while a model held a pose was the hardest thing I had ever done, and I had no idea how to proceed. This confusion only began to give way when I started to develop a system for breaking down the complexity of the figure. I don’t pretend to be original with any of my findings, the process I’ve developed has been around for hundreds of years. I studied the best figure drawings I could find, those of Michelangelo and other Renaissance masters, and started to distill a process from their mastery. The system I’ve come up with replaced my confusion with clarity, I realized I could attain the results I wanted, and even better, that I could share my system with others, and save them the time of trial and error.

•This is how you get that breakthrough

I don’t mean to make this sound too simple. Drawing the figure is difficult because it takes a ton of focus, it will always be challenging no matter how good you get because it will require your full attention every time you undergo the process. But getting well on your way and feeling like you’re improving in leaps and bounds does not need to be difficult. If you’ve read this far I know that hard work and focus aren’t your problem, all you need is for someone to to tell you how. The transformative leap in your skill level happens fast if you get the guidance that puts you on the right path.
